School Field Trips

Connect your students to art and history in new ways. Go on a virtual exploration of Santa Cruz County art and history.


Creativity, culture, and the rich history of Santa Cruz County come together at the MAH. Our School Programs engage over 2,000 students from across Santa Cruz County every year.

As distance learning continues, we aim to offer engaging and educational virtual tours for K-12th grade students. Sign up for virtual tours beginning the Fall of 2020.

More About our Virtual Field Trips

  • All field trips support Common Core State Standards by encouraging critical thinking, communication, creativity, and collaboration
  • One class per field trip
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) guides available upon request
  • Field trips must be scheduled three weeks in advance

1. Art and History Virtual Tours – Launching Fall 2020

Connect with art and history digitally. Beginning Fall 2020, students will join Education Coordinator, Oscar Paz, via video chat to unpack Santa Cruz County’s history and discover how they too can build a more connected and meaningful community from home.

2. Tales at Evergreen Cemetery – Launching Spring 2021

Explore Evergreen Cemetery – a museum without walls – and learn the stories behind Santa Cruz’s earliest residents. Participants get hands-on with gravestone rubbings, hear stories from docents, and present their new knowledge to the group.
