Current Opportunities

Guest Services Representative

Hours: Part-Time, Non-Exempt | 12-16 hours per week

Rate: $16/hour

Working under the supervision of the Guest Services Manager and in collaboration with other staff, this position is responsible for welcoming all guests to the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History (MAH) and working to ensure they have a positive experience while at the museum.

Preparator & Technical Coordinator

Hours: Minimum of 30 hour per week, Non-Exempt

Rate: $20–$24/hour, DOE

Application Deadline: Rolling, open until filled.

Working under the supervision of the Exhibitions & Projects Manager and in collaboration with other staff, this position is responsible for supporting all areas of installation, production, and technical needs for museum exhibitions, public programs, and special projects. A member of the exhibitions and programs team, this position also works in conjunction with the operations and facilities department to assist with ongoing maintenance of the museum building.

Archives & Library Coordinator

Hours: Minimum of 30 hour per week, Non-Exempt

Rate: $20–$24/hour, DOE

Working under the Director of Exhibitions & Programs and in collaboration with other staff, this position helps shape the agenda of the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History (MAH) through managing the organization’s historical archives as well as implementing the engagement opportunities within it.

Production Manager

Hours: Flexible; 4 weeks (8/26-9/22/02)

Rate: Temporary; Contract ($5k-6k Range)

In consultation with the Director of Exhibitions & Programs and other staff, this position oversees the installation, operation, maintenance, disassembly, and packing of all light and sound-based artworks included in the 4-night Frequency festival (Sep 16-19, 2021) produced by the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History (MAH).
