Join the Researchers Anonymous and special guest Regional History Project Director Irene Reti to discuss UC Santa Cruz Library's newest book Seeds of Something Different: An Oral History of the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Hear from special guest Irene Reti as they discuss the making of SEEDS: An Oral History of UC Santa Cruz, as well as present stories and images from the book. More than 200 narrators contributed to this two-volume collective chronicle, edited by Reti along with oral history colleagues Cameron Vanderscoff and Sarah Rabkin. Five years in preparation, the book draws on the Library Regional History Project’s extensive archive of oral history interviews with students, staff, faculty, community members, and campus leaders.
Reti will discuss the groundbreaking new book and how they wove together numerous first-person accounts of the campus’s evolution. Stay for a Q&a with Reit after the presentation and to discuss your own local research projects.
