Join and share your art at Word Church for our weekly poetry event. We'll be writing together, listening to one another's poems, and generally catching up.
This will be the last Word Church at the MAH, catch them every Monday in the future at the Vet's Hall.
Held in the Garden Room at the MAH. $2-10 cover fee at the door.
The night breaks down like this:
- 4:00 - Writing Workshop
- 5:30 - Open Mic List Goes Out
- 6:00 - Poetry Begins
- 7:00 - This Week's Featured Poet: Dog Days Are Over
A bit about our feature:
Sup, I'm Héctor, a junior at UC Santa Cruz majoring in Poetry. I was born and raised in San José. I'm a published poet, graphic designer, photographer, music producer, gardener, singer-songwriter, dreamer, community organizer, and much more. Way too much. My poetry chapbook and mini-album are out now! I've no idea how the h*ll I've been able to do all this. As a jack of all trades, I strive to get involved in as many meaningful things I can handle.
