Hear from local historians and community members in this new webinar series celebrating the upcoming exhibition, Queer Santa Cruz.
In this week's webinar get to know the Santa Cruz Gay Men’s Volleyball team. The Santa Cruz GMV has been continually operating since 1979 when a group of men thought it would be a great way to bring LGBT people together. Hear from those early organizers and players. Invited guests: John Laird, G Schulz, Tom Ellison and others.
In April the MAH was supposed to open a Santa Cruz Queer History Exhibit created in partnership with the Diversity Center. However, due to the shelter in place orders, the MAH will unveil the exhibit online first. To help you “view” the different parts of the exhibit, learn more about our queer history and keep the MAH & Diversity Center working together while working from home the two organizations are initiating a series of webinars about the different stories related to Santa Cruz Queer History.
Stay tuned for more webinars, behind the scene tours, and the virtual exhibit coming soon.
