More about the artists:
Near the end of 2009, following the footsteps of musical acts such as Kanye West, Odd Future, and Lil Wayne who continuously challenged the hip hop soundscape in their respective eras. ShadowsOfSociety members WISE, Jay Stevens, and Siders came together on the schoolyard of View Park High School in South Central Los Angeles striving to continue the tradition of challenging the current soundscape of hip hop by fusing sounds from other genres such as Pop, Techno, Industrial, Soul while staying true to art form of creating fun, thought-provoking lyrics and content. Alecia Haselton is a local performer, from the wee south county town of Corralitos. She songwriters on ukulele, keyboard, and guitar. Her source is universal yet familiar. Indie pop/alt rock chanteuse with a lady punk edge mixed with omni-love. Joining her for this special show in Abbott Square is her friend and local talent Israel Sanchez.
