Lost & Found: Researchers Anonymous Discussion

Join the monthly meet-up of Researchers Anonymous for a special discussion with award-winning Santa Cruz Sentinel photojournalist, Shmuel Thaler, and NPR radio producer of The Kitchen Sisters and former MAH history curator, Nikki Silva.

Nikki and Shmuel teamed up with the MAH to document some of the personal stories of the people who lost their homes in the CZU Lightning Complex fires. The project was the recipient of a History Forum Dolkas-Mertz award.

They asked fire survivors to bring in objects salvaged from the ashes of their homes to the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History, where Shmuel photographed the objects and Nikki interviewed the survivors about their experience.
