Memorial Day at Evergreen Cemetery: Guided Tours (10AM & 1PM tours)

Step into the wild heart of early California with historian Traci Bliss and Sentinel history writer Ross Gibson

Meet the bold, fearless cowboy adventurers who helped define Santa Cruz in the 1850s. Three extraordinary frontiersmen—each a veteran and a California legend in his own right—rest at Evergreen among dozens who served. We will also honor the sacrifice of the young Santa Cruz soldiers who gave their lives in the Civil War and the Union Army veterans who came west and settled in our town.

Guided tours are 75 minutes long and start at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Each tour is limited to 22 participants—reserve your spot early!
All attendees will receive a commemorative American flag to take home.
