Join us for an introduction to Hula class led by Te Hau Nui School of Hula and Tahitian Dance.

With the guidance of your instructor Charmaine Moniz, you’ll explore the foundations of traditional Hawaiian dance.

What to Bring:

  • Comfortable clothing for movement
  • Water bottle
  • Bare feet or soft dance shoes

All levels welcome- no experience necessary!

An exhibition that spotlights how three Hawaiian princes—David Kawānanakoa, Jonah Kūhiō Kalanianaʻole, and Edward Keliʻiahonui— introduced surfing to the U.S. mainland via Santa Cruz in 1885 and rode the wave of legacy and relevance to Santa Cruz County.
