Amidst the burgeoning success of their magazine – Sunset – the Lane family spent considerable time at their Quail Hollow ranch in the 1940s and early 50s. Our tour guide, Richard James, will show us inventive designs the family experimented with inside the Quail Hollow ranch house which found their way into Sunset. The family practiced in life what they preached in print: How to integrate indoor and outdoor living. Richard will also lead us on a gentle walking tour of the stunning park grounds and exceptional ecosystem.
Presenter: Richard James, Quail Hollow Park Interpreter
Directions: From Ocean St. take Graham Hill 5.3 miles, then East Zayante Road for 3 miles, turn left onto Quail Hollow Road and proceed about 1 mile to the park entrance on the right. Plan to arrive by 4:15.
