Friday, April 2, 2021, 12pm - 1:30pm
Online via Zoom
Suggested Donation $5
Join a new online series celebrating the themes found within Community is Collective Care, the MAH's outdoor exhibition on view now.
Together with MAH Outreach Coordinator, Helen Aldana, and Santa Cruz County art, wellness, and healing practitioners we'll learn how the healing of yourself and others is an act of social justice.
This series will be hosted on Zoom throughout March, April, and May and is free to attend or a $5 suggested donation. You're invited to join the conversation or sit back and listen as we dive deeper into the different themes, resources, and stories featured in Community is Collective Care.
April 2nd, Envisioning and Creating Change
For this week's Community Conversation (CoCo) we will be joined by Ooli Crowbear. Ooli Crowbear will share what it means to step into our power as we envision our future. We invite community members to hear from one another, share their story of what brought you to where you are, and how we see ourselves creating change.
Listen to three of the stories featured in Irene Juárez O’Connell's mural Sana, Sana: We Heal Together. Sharing their experiences of community care in Santa Cruz County each discuss the object pictured that supports or represents healing for them.
