Círculo de poetas & Writers Conference

Join a community of diverse poets & writers supporting the literary arts. The annual conference will be held both in-person and online. The in-person conference will take place on Saturday, August 5th at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History in Santa Cruz, California, while the online conference will happen the following Saturday, August 12th, via Zoom. You can attend both or just one date.

Part of the Círculo mission is to support each other and create a community of writers without hierarchies or judgment. In that spirit, every workshop is open to all writers, from those just starting their writing journey to published authors. Both dates include break-out sessions where participants can generate poetry and prose. The conference concludes with a "Reading and Open Mic" open to all participants.In addition, there are 10 free annual memberships available for Santa Cruz County BIPOC writers that include the conference fee.
