A traditional weaving begins with each family's year-round herding of churro sheep at Black Mesa (in Arizona) and a series of many preparatory steps including hand shearing, wool washing, carding, spinning, and dyeing with local plants and minerals.
Your participation in this event supports the independence of families resisting forced relocation policies and resource colonialism on their ancestral homelands.
