Trailblazers: The Creative Story Behind Mountain Biking in Santa Cruz
Explore how the Santa Cruz County mountain biking community blazed the trail for creativity and innovation.
Explore the trails of Santa Cruz on a guided mountain bike ride and learn about local organizations working to build more inclusivity within the mountain biking community. Whether you're a first-timer or seasoned shredder this is a great chance to meet new riding buddies and check out the exhibition Trailblazers on view at The MAH starting February 7th, 2020.
Jacquie was the first woman inducted into the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame and will be leading this trail ride. Get to know Jacquie and learn about how she started WOMBATS, an off-road cycling network that hosted the very first mountain biking skill-building workshops. Plus, see first hand how WOMBATS cleared the trails for other organizations like Girls Rock and the WTF Bikexplorers to be hosting the kind of inclusive and empowering programs they are today.
