Ask a Philosopher

In collaboration with UCSC's Center for Public Philosophy, 'Ask a Philosopher' is a labor of love booth run by UCSC Philosophy students who seek to bring the utility and joy they experience through their studies, to people outside of the academic community. Any and every question in life may be viewed as a philosophical question, and so our view is that philosophy and philosophical thinking is for everyone, and it's fun. A panel of three philosophy students attend our 'booths,' willing to engage with anyone about any question they may have. We don't have the answers, but we can help identify and discuss the issues with you, and perhaps even point out what some of the great minds have had to say about your inquiry. We're very approachable, love to meet new people and are genuinely interested in what puzzles or perplexes others, as well as ourselves.
