Amor en Aztlán III
"In the town I now call home we continue to organize, create, build, work, laugh, cry, grow, die, uncover, remember and dream. This is an urgent call to arms, in arms, with co-madres in accion… this project's goal is to have fun and educate locally, while living cosmically and working internationally. To sing while we are alive here and now. For NOW is the time for Recovery” - Dr. T Osa Hidalgo de la Riva
Join artist, documentary filmmaker, and queer activist Dr. T Osa Hidalgo de la Riva for Amor en Aztlán III. This online event and on site pop up show features collaborative artwork, performances, film screenings, and conversations with Osa and her family as they envision images of utopia, while living (and dying) on the occupied lands they call home. Following the daytime pop-up at the MAH, Osa will host a Zoom conversation on familia (both blood and extended) with Dr. Sergio de la Mora, Gina Diaz, Dr. Pablo Alvarez, Xaviera Flores, Augie Robles, Maria Elena Chavez, and Maria Elena Cortinas. The event will also feature a sneak peak of Living La Vida Lola, a new documentary in progress about the creative mujeres of the de la Riva familia.
Event Schedule:
