Meet Our New Executive Director

After an extensive search, we are excited to welcome Robb Woulfe as the MAH’s new Executive Director.

Robb will begin Monday, February 10th and is eager to continue our mission of igniting shared experiences and unexpected connections to build a stronger, more connected Santa Cruz County. Robb’s vision and leadership will guide staff, volunteers, and interns as the MAH continues to bring people together around art, history, and culture through co-created events and exhibitions.

Stay tuned for a welcoming event where all community members can hear from and get to know Robb. In the meantime, we asked Robb some get-to-know-you questions below…

Robb's Rapid Fire Q&A

1. What is the first thing you want to do when you move to Santa Cruz?

I want to take a run on West Cliff Drive and also start my search for my favorite local IPA, although not necessarily in that order.

2. Are you a dog or a cat person?

Both. My wife and I have two cats, and a sweet and rambunctious two-year-old Golden Retriever, who is a handful, to say the least.

3. Do you prefer beaches or mountains?

Beaches, although I’ve been very fortunate to have been surrounded by stunning mountain views in Colorado for the past six years.

4. Where’s your favorite place in the world?

Ribera Beach, Carmel, California, where my wife and I eloped.

5. What is your favorite family tradition?

Every year on Christmas Eve, we have homemade Mexican food and watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Oh, and I love my birthday celebration, which always lasts for weeks.

6. What’s the last book you read?

The last book I read was Calypso by David Sedaris. I have also spent a lot of time on airplanes recently, and Us Weekly has been a staple. So, I can tell you who wore it best, if you’re interested.

7. Is there anything else you want people to know?

I can’t wait to get started at the MAH, immerse myself in the local creative scene, and get to know the community.

So, in February when you bump into Robb on your visit to Trailblazers feel free to recommend your favorite dog beaches and IPAs.
