If you, like us, find yourself looking longingly at apartment eye candy on Pinterest but feel like you’re losing out on the aesthetic olympics, we’ve got the perfect craft for you: DIY Yarn Wall Hangings.
All it takes to craft these vibrant beauties is a few free hours, your most colorful skeins of yarn, and a dream to make your space look awesome.
By the way, we made these yarn wall hangings at a recent Make Night. That’s come and gone, but you drop in for an upcoming crafty Make Night here.

Supplies:
- 2-3 skeins of yarn
- A bamboo stick
- Wire
- Scissors
If you’re asking, we looooove Palace Arts and Lenz Arts.

1. Pre-cut yarn to double the length you want it to hang.

2. Fold yarn in half and place the loop behind the bar.

3. Fold your loop over the top half of the bar and pull your string through.

4. Pull the end through the loop, making it tight and sturdy.

5. Repeat with another color– or same color if you’re looking to go full monochrome.

6. Twist a copper wire in an arc shape above the hanging so you can...you know, hang it!
7. Bask in the beauty of your new handcrafted yarn wall hanging, and save the date for the next Make Night.
