Things That Roll: Toy Trains 2008
December 19, 2008 – January 4, 2009;
First floor.
Join us for a rotating cavalcade of operating toy trains from the 1920s to the 21st century. Watch a massive standard gauge steam engine from the 1920s start up-headlight flashing, drive wheels spinning, smoke flowing from the smoke stack and of course a mighty whistle. Children and the young at heart will be able to sound the whistle or horn, load logs onto a flat car, or operate a model fork lift to load barrels in a waiting car.
Holiday hours: Tuesday – Sunday 11am-5pm, closing 3pm on December 24th, closed on December 25th and January 1st. The entire Museum is free on Friday, December 26 – Sunday, December 28, 2008.
